Lorcana – A New Chapter Begins with Whispers

Here at Chaos Cards Central we are eagerly awaiting the Reign of Jafar... and yet we hear whispers of a new chapter. Grab a magnifying glass and get ready to discover the mysteries of the mysterious well. Assemble a team of cunning minds, observant eyes with playful attitudes and solve the mysteries that await you down below, with the news of Lorcana’s tenth release: Whispers in the Well.

The Inklands Welcomes New Faces

It looks like our trusty Illumineers must solve a new mystery to discover what the future holds for the people and realms of Lorcana. Are the mysteries within the well helpful? Or do they have a more sinister motive? We don’t know yet! But we can’t wait to find out on the 14th November. (This also happens to be the release date for the latest Pokemon release: Mega Evolutions - Phantasmal Flames!)

The Chaos Cards team were VERY excited with the news that Whispers in the Well will include characters from one of our most beloved films; The Black Cauldron, as well as characters from Gargoyles. Whispers in the Well will also feature everyone’s favourite crime fighting duo Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia. With Card Titles such as; Judy Hopps; Uncovering Clues and Nick Wilde; Persistent Investigator we certainly think these new ‘Detective Glimmer’ additions will provide a fresh and exciting mix for both deck builders and collectors alike.

New Glimmers Await!

The new set will be made up of 204 main cards, each with a foil variant. Whispers in the Well will also introduce an all new glimmer too, known as an ‘ethereal glimmer.’ As far as we know the new release will include the standard booster packs, two new starter decks and an Illumineers Trove. The new Starter Decks will feature a Sapphire/Steel deck with Judy Hopps & Robin Hood and an Amber/Emerald deck with Simba & Megara.

We were happy to see that the two new rarities: Epic and Iconic, will feature in Whispers in the Well release. These new rarities will be harder to find then Legendary cards, but Enchanted cards will still be the rarest. For the ultimate collector, Iconic cards are what you'll be looking for! They feature a full-card artwork, a special lore star foil pattern, and an effect known as “3D hot stamping.” We can’t wait to see what Whispers in the Well has in store for us!

A New Story Begins

We haven’t even finished 2025 and yet there's already whispers about the next set for 2026! Winterspell is set to be released early next year and will feature ‘Flurries of Fun’ as well as more Lilo and Stitch related antics! We hear there’s even a rumour that Angel might be making her way into the realms of Lorcana. Keep an eye on our News and Events page to keep up to date with more Lorcana news.
