Pokemon in 2025: Tournaments, Workshops and Evolutions

Wow, 2025 was certainly a legendary year to be a Pokémon fan and collector. The hobby went from strength to strength, with thrilling releases, and exciting events. For us at Chaos Cards, it was a busy and rewarding year spent hosting events and developing better ways to get products into the hands of our loyal customers fairly.

As we get ready for the upcoming Ascended Heroes release, let’s take a look back at some of our highlights of 2025!

Our Product Drop Scheme

Perhaps one of our biggest innovations, and something we are incredibly proud of, is the brand new Product Drop scheme we introduced in 2025. We realise how frustrating it can be to miss out on the most highly anticipated Pokémon drops due to the overwhelming demand out there. That was why we developed a simple but transparent system to hopefully give everyone a fair chance at getting their hands on the latest and most popular releases.Product Drop info

How it works:

  1. Create a free Chaos Cards account.

  2. Enter your email on the product page: This must be the email address linked to your account.

  3. Spot the yellow sash! If a product is part of a drop, you'll see a clear yellow sash on the product image as well as the sign-up form.

That’s all there is to it! If you are selected, we'll send you an email, and you can log in to place your order as usual. Our goal is to remove the pressure from high-demand launches, ensuring every fan has an equal opportunity to secure their favourite sets

This expansion celebrated the deep bond between Pokémon and their trainers, and featured over 180 cards, including 16 Pokémon ex cards, 11 illustration rares, 6 special illustration rares, and 3 hyper rare gold cards. And, speaking of journeys, March also brought the exciting announcement of a collaboration between Lego and Pokémon!

November brought the heat with Phantasmal Flames, where Mega Charizard X and Mega Gengar took centre stage. This set focused on Fire and Darkness type Pokémon and, though one of the smaller releases with 120 cards, it was still packed with great cards. Following the success of the first, we held another popular Breakfast Club to celebrate its launch, and loved meeting Pokémon fans old and new.

Pokémon Workshops Fun!

Throughout the year, our fun and exciting Pokémon workshops continued to be a highlight! The workshops have gone from strength to strength each year. Over the school holidays throughout 2025, we welcomed young Pokémon Masters and their families to create long-lasting, handmade pieces of Pokémon related artwork. These workshops are all about learning new skills in a supportive environment and connecting with other like-minded Pokémon fans. Over the course of 2025, we made everything from fuzzy Pokémon binders and Easter buckets to customised t-shirts, pin badge pennants, no sew Bulbasaurs, pencil cases, and some spooky Halloween ghost trains.
