Check out the Wondrous world of Flow right now

“Flow is a cooperative game inspired by the hit animated film that plunges you into an exciting adventure of real-time action, massive waves, and split-second decisions.”

If you have been to the cinema recently, you may have seen a beautiful looking film advertised. You might have even seen the charming film already! Well now, you can immerse yourself in the beautifully animated and Oscar winning film Flow with the new Board Game from Brain Games. The Chaos Cards team can’t wait to tell you more about this beautiful game.

From Screen to Tabletop

The animated film Flow is the story of a little black cat trying to find safety in a post-apocalyptic landscape. This little cat and other animals have to work together in a race against time to survive a flood-stricken new world. The film is charming and the storyline is perfect for a board game to play with friends and family. (Bonus points if you have seen the film prior to playing!)

Flow as a game is perfect for players age 8 and up, and can be played by between 1 and 6 people. Every second counts in this game as you navigate the tides to victory. Players have to work together cooperatively to help cat and his companions get onto the boat and survive. To make things interesting, you have to do all of this whilst a timer ticks down to an impending wave.

Flow is essentially a tile placement game; in order to win the game, players must work co-operatively to connect animal spaces to the boat tile at the centre of the board. You must do this by drawing and playing tiles. If a player runs out of tiles and no connection to the boat can be made, then all is lost! Oh, and did we mention that this is all happening as players are counting down to the next wave strike? Sounds intense right?

Hit Film to Family Fun

If you enjoyed the film and its breathtaking animation, you will love the look of the boardgame. Players have to navigate this new and constantly shifting post-apocalyptic world, and the artwork really helps players to feel part of this. The illustrations and beautifully crafted components help to create a visually captivating experience that fully immerse you in the world of Flow.

The fact that there are multiple paths to victory helps to make Flow a highly replayable game. We love that no two games of Flow are the same due to the new and fresh opportunities and obstacles you encounter in each round of gameplay. It is really important to remember to read the game state carefully every time you play however, as this helps to make each new game a fresh and engaging experience.
