A New Season of Family Fun

Spring is here and there’s excitement in the air as people look to spend more time with friends and family. Whether you’re looking for entertainment for your Easter holiday adventures, or some fun activities for the new season, the Chaos Cards team have hand picked out a selection of games to help keep the family entertained over the Spring break- whatever the weather!

So read on to find out more about these fun filled, family games.

Nekojima – Keep the Balance on Cat Island

Nekojima board game[1]

Nekojima is a fun little board game. And it has cats. Need we say more? In this cute game, family and friends can work together as a team to build the islands electrical network as high as possible without knocking it down. However, there is a group of pesky cats on the loose and they are determined to cause havoc on your newly installed power network.

There is a lot of fun to be had playing the game as a family. There’s even a competitive mode, where the loser is the first to knock the construction down! It can even be adapted to play solo as well as the other game variants (which include expert, skyscrapers, urban jungle or duo.) The game becomes even more interesting if you have a particularly clumsy player playing with or against you!

This sweet game, based on the cat islands in Japan, is a fun and easy-to-learn game where your skills and sense of balance really come into play! In fact, The Chaos Cards team really loved this game when it first came out. We have all played it many times since and it is a firm favourite.

Roly Poly Goalie

Roly poly boardgameboard game[1]

Roly Poly Goalie is basically dodgeball with cards; 72 cards to be precise, as well as seven battle discs and six of the adorable roly-poly throwables. Sounds fun right? Players race to match cards, then they move into the active part of the game.

The game format is similar to many of the other popular Exploding Kittens games, such as; Throw, Throw Avocado, and Unstable Unicorns. We looked at the game in more depth in this blog post; 'Family Fun with Roly Poly Goalie.'

This all-new family game encourages active play, problem-solving, counting skills, and family bonding; making it a great birthday gift, classroom game, or energetic workout for games night.

Despite being primarily aimed at children, the Chaos Cards team think it is the type of game that can be enjoyed by any age.

Taco Hat Cake Gift Pizza

Taco Cat card game[1]

Taco Hat Cake Gift Pizza is a fast paced game for between 2 – 8 players. A quick warning, this lightning fast game may cause lots of giggling!

The game is super easy to learn, and you don’t have to be a gaming expert to play! As soon as there is a match between a card and a spoken word, race to slap your hand on the central pile of cards. The last one to do so must take them all.

Watching your opponents mess up the sequence or forget the actions is hilarious. Just remember, the magic words are; Taco, Hat, Cake, Gift, Pizza.

This addictive game is as unique as its name. It’s simple and easy to learn, but is a game you will want to play time and time again. Get ready to flip those cards and enjoy!

P is for Pizza Kids Menu

P is for pizza game

A final tasty treat that you can take with you on your next trip is P is for Pizza Kids Menu. The game is super cute and is a simple game, perfect for families with younger kids. It’s a small size and is perfect for travelling.

The easy cheesy letter game. Small and light, it’s perfect as a travel game. A food that starts with P? A bald celebrity that begins with B? Simply shout out an answer that connects the category with the opposite letter. Collect six pizza slices to win. The Chaos Cards team think this game is perfect for Pizza lovers everywhere.

And that's it for the Chaos Cards springtime game round up. What do you think? Have we missed a game you would recommend? Let us know your thoughts over on our socials. We love to hear from you!
