Half Term Fun: Sculpting Pokemon Pen Pots at Chaos Cards
Written by Katie Lambert - Jun 06 2025

Every school holiday we host workshops at Chaos Cards Tabletop Gaming Centre where we welcome young Pokémon Masters and help them create a long-lasting, handmade piece of artwork they can proudly show off.
After the hugely fun and successful Easter Poke Craft workshops, the May half-term workshops felt like they came around super quickly! Luckily superstar Pokémon master Becky Vincer was on hand with some rather cute clay pen pots for our local Pokémon Masters to create for their pens. Perfect for storing everything from pens to knick-knacks.

Half Term Pokemon Fun
The crafty Chaos Cards team helped attendees to craft their Pokémon pen pot from air-dry clay. This unique creation could then be a nice reminder of their artistic skills and holiday. In the May half-term session, children had the chance to roll, coil and sculpt their clay creatures to life. The Chaos Cards friendly artist facilitators were on hand to help everyone step-by-step with their creations. Check out some of the awesome Pokémon clay pots that were made! How great do they look?

While our crafters could choose any Pokémon, the designs were initially based on the elegant Dragonair, the cunning Ekans, and the striking Seviper! What do Dragonair, Ekans, and Seviper all have in common? They're long, winding, and the perfect inspiration for a pen pot. Children could let their imaginations soar as they explored the unique features of these Pokémon; from Dragonair's graceful form and orbs, to Ekans' signature rattle tail, and Seviper's distinctive blade-like tail. Becky was there with plenty of support and guidance, but the final product was ultimately down to the creator. We even had a Pikachu pot make an appearance!
Why You Should come to a Chaos Cards Pokemon Workshop:

The great thing about these Pokémon workshops is that adults and kids get the chance to learn new skills in a supportive environment, and they can meet other like-minded Pokémon fans. Most importantly, they get to create and keep an awesome piece of work. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to own a one-of-a-kind piece of art?
- Fine motor skill development: Did you know that working with clay is great for developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It is also a great sensory exercise as you roll and shape the clay.
- Imagination and problem-solving: Pokémon trainers will be thinking creatively about how to adapt their favourite Pokémon into a functional 3D form.
- A relaxed and supportive environment: Becky and Katie really try to create a fun, friendly, and encouraging atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable to create and experiment.
