Building the Battlefield with Voidstorm Games

At Chaos Cards, we often sponsor local gaming events and recently began working with a local gaming group: Voidstorm Games. We thought it would be great to introduce our readers to what they do. From organising immersive Warhammer 40k events or producing high-quality, 3D printed terrain, these are guys who are experts in their field and dedicated to promoting their hobby.

Voidstorm Games, created by James Denton ( a local player in Kent at events for over 5 years), has quickly become one of the most exciting forces in the South East’s tabletop scene - bringing players together through expertly organised events that champion competitive play, community spirit, and high‑quality terrain standards. Based in Kent, Voidstorm Games has built a reputation for delivering smooth, well‑structured tournaments that give players the chance to test their skills in a welcoming, professionally run environment.

At the heart of Voidstorm’s mission is simple: create events that players genuinely look forward to. Whether it’s a tightly run RTT or a larger competitive gathering, every event is built around clarity, fairness, and an atmosphere that encourages both seasoned competitors and newer players to get involved. With access to premium terrain which is consistent whilst being used at the highest levels of play, Voidstorm ensures that every table feels consistent, balanced, and tournament‑ready. 

They also are the only place in the UK where you can buy licensed Tinker Junkie terrain sets for GW or WTC as well as offering a range of other printing services.

Aside from the Kent Events, all events take place at Hothfield Village Hall in Ashford,Kent and are the cheapest events in the area to help keep them accessible to all players

• 9th May - Insurrection RTT,
• 27th and 28th June - New Dawn GT which depending on newly announced edition could be one of the first events of 11th Edition,
• 19th July - Alpha Strike RTT:  a chance to play the missions and terrain in advance of the next large scale event (The Kent Major).
•  31st July - 2nd August - The Kent Major: a 90 player Golden Ticket event held at the University of Kent,
• 5th September - Onslaught RTT,
• 7th/8th November - The Kent Teams November :  a 5 players teams event at University of Kent with capacity for 250 players across 50 teams using WTC terrain layouts,
• 28th November - Battlefront RTT.
