Family Fun with Roly Poly Goalie!

Hands up if you love an Exploding Kittens release? The guys here at Chaos Cards central definitely do. There’s been many a laugh to be had whilst playing their great selection of games. Needless to say, we were quite excited when we heard about the upcoming Roly Poly Goalie. The all – important, first impressions suggest this family friendly game of Dodgeball is everything we  expect from an Exploding Kittens game. Read on to find out more:

A Family Friendly Game full of Laughs!

Roly Poly Goalie is the latest Exploding Kittens game to come out in 2025 and what makes it extra special is its emphasis on encouraging active play, with many giggles thrown in for good measure. The all new family game is a cute and silly twist on the classic game of “War”.  It encourages active play, problem-solving, counting skills, and family bonding; making it a great birthday gift, classroom game, or energetic workout for games night. The game involves the same sort of active gameplay which is becoming common place in many of the Exploding Kittens range, and used to great effect in games such as Throw, Throw Avocado, and Unstable Unicorns. Not only is it a great fun game, but it looks super cute. You may be interested to know that the balls that form the main part of the game, are actually inspired by a common garden critter; the woodlouse:

Toss, Roll and Goal!

Roly Poly Goalie is basically dodgeball with cards, 72 cards to be precise, as well as 7 battle discs and 6 of the adorable roly-poly throwables. Despite being primarily aimed at kids, it looks set to be enjoyed by those of any ages. Players race to match cards, then they move into the active part of the game. There’s a range of active challenges including a dodgeball battle and a bowling style roll off amongst other exciting moves to gain points and win. It's a quick game (a typical game lasts about 10 minutes!) and can be played between 2 – 4 people. Whoever holds the most cards at the end of the game is the winner. Sounds great doesn't it!

A Great Party Game for All!

The Chaos Cards team think that Roly Poly Goalie would make an excellent family gift or a great party game with friends. It is a thoroughly enjoyable active game which is extremely entertaining. We love that there are a lot of skills that can be gained from playing this game, such as pattern recognition, creativity, fine motor skills and hand – eye co-ordination. Roly Poly Goalie is a great addition to any games night for sure!
