Prepare for Galactic Greatness with Star Wars Unlimited

Prepare to head deeper into the rich storytelling of the Star Wars universe with the exciting, force filled, new chapter of up and coming Trading card Game; Star Wars Unlimited. Fans have been honing their force skills in preparation for it’s latest release, and Legends of the Force sure looks to be a great addition to previous sets (Spark of Rebellion, Shadows of the Galaxy, Twilight of the Republic and Jump to Lightspeed.)

Exploring Star Wars Unlimited– Legends of the Force

Legends of the Force is due to be released in early July and to be honest, the guys at Chaos Cards are pretty hyped for this expansion. Get ready to launch yourself into a galaxy of unlimited potential.

Star Wars Unlimited is a great addition to the already abundant world of trading card games. As far as trading card games go, Star Wars Unlimited is both accessible and pretty simple to learn, for both Padawans and Masters when it comes to trading card games.

Unlimited Power

In Star Wars Unlimited, players choose an iconic character to become their leader of a 50 card deck, filled with heroes, villains, bounty hunters, droids, weapons and ships. You then battle head to head with your opponent to reduce their health from 30 to zero, you do this by targetting your opponents base, which is a physical target. The mechanics of the game feel familiar, but fresh,

The Legends of the Force expansion will focus on force users within the Star Wars universe, such as the Jedi, Sith and those in between. It is the fifth release for Star Wars Unlimited. An exciting fact about this particular set is that it will showcase more eras and source material then any of the sets released previously. This mean we are more likely to see fan favourites from all over the galaxy.

A Galaxy of new Possibilities

With card titles such as; ‘Twilight of the apprentice,’ and ‘A Hero’s Beginning,’ we cannot wait to see what surprises Legends of the Force has up it’s sleeve. Something exciting to note about Legends of the Force is that it introduces two new mechanics! The first is using the force; which is represented by a token and grants the player certain abilities. The second is the strategic ‘hidden’ keyword; this means that a unit cannot be attacked in the same phase it has been played.

Why Legends of the Force is a must have!

As you would expect, the art work featured on the cards within Star Wars Unlimited is something pretty special. We love how the artwork spans all of the Star Wars universe, and isn’t simply limited to the more familiar characters. It is always great to see the spotlight on fan favourites from The Clone Wars or Rebels, and even some characters from the expanded universe (comics, books, games, etc.)

The upcoming two Spotlight Decks look to be pretty iconic, with one deck featuring the maverick Qui-Gon Jinn, and the other featuring the epic Sith apprentice, Darth Maul. Both decks are pre built and ready to play straight out of the box. The cards in the decks include a nice combination of new and older cards, which really creates a more optimised experience for newer players. They even include the nice little addition of a Jump to Lightspeed booster pack to help enhance any future decks.

The Saga Continues

Star Wars Unlimited was initially released in March 2024 and has gone from strength to strength with each release. The fast paced game often draws comparisons to another newcomer to the world of trading card games; Lorcana, and we definitely think both of the games deserve the hype that surrounds them!

Head over to the Chaos Cards website to find out about how to pre-order Legends of the Force.
