Sprawlopolis

Sprawlopolis BS post[1]

Sprawlopolis happens to be Button Shy’s best-selling game and we can see why! The aim of the game is to build an Urban centre, whilst maintaining roadways. It can be played solo or with up to four players. For the farmers amongst us, there is Agropolis, for those who love nature, we have Naturopolis and if you want to combine all the expansions together there is Combopolis. We have the original game as well as expansions available.

Simply Solo

Ugly Gryphon Inn BS post[1]

For those of us who prefer our own company, Button Shy has even created a range of games for us! These are known as the ‘Simply Solo’ collection and are games that have been created for both newcomers and long-term solo gamers. The games each have simple rules but have escalating levels of difficulty and are perfect for playing again and again.

  • Food Chain Island – Food Chain Island is a short 10-15 minute game where the aim of the game is to reduce the number of animals on your island. The expansions include Friendly Waters, Tough Skies, Lost Beast and Legendary Creatures. The game is fun and engaging and has a very simple style of setup, plus the artwork is adorable!
  • Ugly Gryphon Inn (plus expansions) Manage the painfully particular, peculiar patrons of your ‘friendly’ local Tavern in Ugly Gryphon Inn. Keep your inn filled with paying customers in order to keep the debt collectors at bay. The expansions include More Patrons, Local Dragons, Innployers, and The Little Beak Guesthouse. Ugly Gryphon Inn is perfect for fans of fantasy and puzzle-style games.
  • Unsurmountable (plus expansions) Do you have what it takes to climb a towering titan of a mountain? Tackle the ever-changing mountain as this tile placement game keeps you on your toes. The Expansions for Unsurmountable include Dual Peaks, Big Climb, Rescue Mission and Acclimatization. The game has differing levels of difficulty and has different outcomes so is a great option for replayability.
  • Fishing Lessons – The family of Leland Williams celebrate his life through his love of fishing. Piece together life lessons and Lelands memories in order to have a successful day on the lake! Play as different family members in this heartwarming game. Players can tailor the complexibility of the game which is a nice addition.
  • The Last Lighthouse – Defend your lighthouse from the spreading darkness. Can you survive the nightmare cards and eliminate any threats? Although small, the game offers plenty of challenges. With moody artwork that fits in with the theme of the game

  • Mint Julep is a fun game for 2 – 4 players where you bet on some horses, and try to get your horse to win over the course of 3 rounds. The game does take about 30 minutes to play, so it is one of the longer Button Shy games available. The cards are double-sided and the artwork is really cute!
