Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective has returned with both brand new and revised cases for you and your fellow investigators to solve. The cooperative game series invites you to immerse yourself in Holmes' London, following leads, solving mysteries, and tracking down dangerous criminals. With the help of Watson's journals, you and the Baker Street Irregulars will take to the streets, eavesdropping on every hushed whisper and following in every muddy footstep. Somebody is doing horrible things here, and only you can collect the proof needed to stop them.

Important note: The ten cases in The Thames Murders and Other Cases are the same ten cases released in the Ystari version of the game Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, now fully revised and retranslated. The solutions and contents of some cases have changed.

I've only played one case so far, but everything looks very promising. Physical quality is top notch and the value (effectively 10 games) at just over £3 per game isn't in doubt. I doubt I'll ever beat Holmes - his solutions are optimal (possibly a bit too good to be true) but a lot of the fun (at least to me) is exploring the dead ends and red herrings the game throws at you. I could probably have resolved the case 5 or 6 steps earlier but wanted to make sure I'd covered all eventualities. I played solo, but my daughter and her boyfriend are keen to try it as a team. The nature of the gameplay - paragraph driven - means that individual cases aren't really re-playable, but there's plenty to keep me occupied for many hours yet...
