Otontin: Warriors of the Lost Empire is dice game for 3-8 players that plays in 30 minutes.

Otontin is played in 3 phases: Campaign, Strategy and War.

During the Campaign Phase, players roll dice to gather resources in preparation for war. The faces of each die represent Warriors, Cocoa Beans, Priests or Saboteurs. Players who roll 4 (or more) Saboteurs lose any Warriors or Cocoa Beans accumulated during that turn. They also lose the ability to participate in the Strategy and War phases.

In the Strategy Phase, players negotiate with their neighbours by trading (or bribing with) Cocoa Beans, form alliances or plan attacks before commanding their armies. These commands are played out during the War Phase; players battle their neighbours, break alliances, honour agreements or capture Cocoa Beans.

The player with the most Cocoa Beans wins!
