In 1325, upon witnessing fulfillment of an old prophecy, the Aztecs decided to build Tenochtitlan, the capital of their empire. You are "Pilli Mexica", a noble charged with overseeing construction of the city. User your action points wisely to build districts, carve out canals, construct bridges ... and obstruct your oponents' plans! Erect temples to increase your prestige and thereby become the Emperor's favorite!
By creating, and then founding districts, and by the predominance of your temples in each of them, you earn prestige points, recorded on the track that wraps around the outside of the gameboard. Whoever is ahead at the end of the game will be declared the winner, and called to a higher office at the Emperor’s side.
Mexica is a game of placement, blocking, and majority, with simple and subtle rules that will delight even the greatest strategists!
