Legendary: Buffy The Vampire Slayer is the newest addition to the Legendary series. In Legendary, a semi-cooperative deck-building game, 1 to 5 players take the roles of heroes from fan-favorite universes (Marvel, Big Trouble in Little China, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and attempt to stop a mastermind and their nefarious schemes. Players win the game if the mastermind is beaten four times, with the game ending in a draw if the mastermind is not defeated but the evil schemes are stopped.

Based on the popular TV series only, Legendary: Buffy the Vampire Slayer features a light/dark track that influences characters' strength, which is meant to boost the thematic feeling.

A really good addition to the legendary range. The game is as tight as ever. The light and dark mechanic works well and is nicely tied in with the characters. Upper deck have broken tradition with this set by not commissioning their own art, instead going for actual series stills, which I think most fans will be really happy with. Plus the images, card names and flavour text is dripping with in jokes for fans. It's a great game. Unless you're a Buffy fan, in which case it is truly outstanding.

The Legendary system was already a great co-op deck-builder. The Buffy IP is ideally suited for the recruit and fight mechanics, with a wealth of heroes and villains (and Big Bads). The addition of courage tokens and Dark/Light tracker are really cool improvements. The only thing to improve would be if some of the cards had flavour text.

Great version of Legendary, some interesting new features. The artwork is nice (photo stills from the show) and it seems the game can be quite hard at times (only tried solo so far).
