The first war of the gods tore the world apart. Each god continually remaking reality was more than the universe could withstand… The great nothingness returned, leaving the gods to bicker in the void.
Eventually, a compromise was reached. The gods joined forces to create the universe anew, but this time there were rules that even they must obey. No longer could gods battle directly, tugging against one another on the fabric of reality. Now their wars are fought in the mortal world with mighty champions and devastating events.
Epic is a fantasy card game by White Wizard Games which aims to recreate the TCG-style experience from a single box, with no additional purchases required. There is no scaling resource system, instead every player can play a single card each turn which costs gold, and any number of 0-cost cards – this means that every starting hand is playable. Epic is non-collectable, so every box contains the same 120 unique event and champion cards, with 8 double-sided cards to represent temporary "token" champions. One box supports preconstructed, sealed and draft formats for 2-4 players, two boxes up to 8 players, and three if you want to create a full constructed deck or a "cube" environment for drafting.

Fantastic fantasy card game for 2, 3 or 4 players. Like Magic the Gathering but entirely self contained so no need for booster packs. Rule book isn't terribly clear but there are how-to-play videos onlime and once you get the hang of it it is easy. You will need to provide your own tokens for life counters, wound markers etc but these can be borrowed from any game or just use coins or beads.
