Written by K. Lambert - Dec 10 2024

Defy Gravity with these exciting new Lego Sets. Follow in Elphaba and Glinda’s footsteps, and build your way through Oz as you journey from the University of Shiz to the Emerald City. These Wonderful Lego sets are perfect for fans of the famous Musical, and make ideal gifts for fans of all ages. Read on to find out what the Chaos Cards team think of the Oz-Tastic sets.
These Wicked sets look familiar to the already popular Lego Friends sets, and include mini dolls of the main characters rather than the Lego City style mini-figures. Each set varies in complexity and size, but each one is directly related to iconic scenes in the stage show and film. The creative lead; Raquel Ojeda Gregorio, who designed the Lego Wicked selection, was able to visit the actual Wicked movie sets as well as seeing the stage production! So the sets look pretty authentic to the feel of both the film and the show. Something really cool about these sets is the new QR codes. These are a fun addition as it means the Lego builder can scan the QR code and play along with a ‘brick build’ story to the tune of ‘Defying Gravity.’ Get ready to enter a digital world of building alongside your fantastical Lego kits.
Be Popular with Wicked Lego Figures

Are you Team Glinda *swish, swish* or greenified – like Team Elphaba? Lego invites you to be fans of both with the amazifying Elphaba and Glinda Figures set (75682.) The set features the new style of Lego doll - like figures (also seen in the recent Wednesday Addams (76780) Lego set) and are suitable for Lego fans of ten years old and up. (The doll like figures are quite complex to build.) The figures are charming to look at and very satisfying to build. Glinda and Elphaba come with full articulation, and we really like the way the faces are printed straight onto the face plates which adds a unique look to these figures, making them stand out from other Lego builds. The set comes with some mystical accessories, including Elphaba’s Broom, Glinda’s purse and crown and her amazing wand.
The backdrop is from a scene taking place in the Emerald City of Oz (I don’t want to give away any spoilers, other then it is part of a truly mesmerising scene!) It sets Glinda and Elphaba up perfectly and it is exquisite to look at. A personal favourite is the cute nameplates that accompany each figure.
Dear Old Shiz
A nice entry level Wicked Lego set is the Glinda, Elphaba and Nessarose at Shiz University (75681.) Reminiscent of the Disney Princess Lego sets, the set is perfect for Wicked fans aged 7 and over. It is perfect for kids or collectors that like a play scene or diorama aspect to their Lego collections. Join Glinda as she sails to Shiz University and explore the ‘Hallowed Halls and Vine-Draped Walls.’ We love that you can customise the 2-storey set however you want. The enchanting university model contains the balconies, entrance hall and spell room from Dear old Shiz. Although the smallest of sets, it has lots of scope for imagination and is a great entry level set into the Lego world of Wicked.
Welcome to the Emerald City

Get ready to recreate the Wondrous Emerald City with this highly detailed 3-storey tower toy. Including 5 mini-dolls of the central characters of Wicked; Glinda, Elphaba, the Wizard, Madame Morrible and Fiyero. The mini-dolls of Elphaba and Glinda are different to the mini-dolls in the other sets which is a nice touch. The spellbinding ‘Welcome to the Emerald City (75684)’ welcomes creative play and includes the stores from the green tinged city, the Wizards model air balloon and his giant talking head. The curved nature of this set makes it feel quite unusual compared to other Lego sets, and it contains plenty of gorgeous transparent pieces which complement the City.
A Frank Analysis of Glinda and Elphaba’s Dormitory

Is Popular your favourite Wicked song? Then the Glinda and Elphaba’s Dormitory (75683) could be the ideal Lego set for you. There is so much to take in and explore with this set! It’s a diorama of the two witches dormitory room, set within a trunk which resembles Glinda’s luggage when she arrives at Shiz. It is quite similar to the Lego Disney and Harry Potter Storybook sets in that it is a self contained play scene. We love that the Dorm set has space to store the additional Elphie and Glinda outfit (both mini-dolls come with a set of pyjamas and Oz Dust ballroom party dresses to dance through life!) Plenty of accessories come with Glinda and Elphaba’s dormitory so there is lots of scope to decorate as you wish. The attention to detail is really pleasing here and will make the dormitory set appeal to any fan of Wicked.
Dance through Life

This Lego range of sets to tie in with the Wicked movie are truly OUTSTANDIFUL! The Chaos Cards team love the dual purpose of the sets, as both display pieces and fun creations to play with imaginatively. Each Wicked set is beautifully designed and are equally great fun to build. We are big fans of the mini-dolls as we think they are enchanting and perfectly designed to embody these lovable characters. We particularly like the new style of maxi-doll’s featured in the Lego Wicked and Wednesday sets. The Wickedly stunning Lego sets are available now.
