The Greatest Show Has Arrived!

The Greatest Show Has Arrived!

Come one, come all to the greatest show in Rathe! Everfest has arrived! In this supplemental set for Flesh & Blood, each class gets support! We have new heroes, new equipment, new cards and all accompanied by gorgeous art! Everfest is set to be an incredibly important expansion for the newest TCG on the market, so let's take a little look at why!

This release brings us four new heroes (3 Young, 1 Adult) to take control of. Iyslander, the Elemental Wizard, influenced with the Essence of Ice, was the first to be spoiled! Her first fantastic ability allows you to play 'non-attack' action cards with blue colour strips from your arsenal as though they were an instant - giving you the potential to further control your opponent on their turn with the bundle of Ice cards she can use. And, following that effect, whenever you play an Ice card during your opponent's turn, you give them a Frostbite token too! Iyslander provides a lot of control to whoever pilots her, however, she does have less health than most other Blitz heroes at 18. Valda Brightaxe is another Young Hero (with 21 health!) and a Guardian. Her ability allows you to make a Seismic Surge token when your opponent draws during their action phase. Making free Seismic tokens are always welcome! Then, if you have 3 or more, cards you own with Crush gain Dominate this turn, allowing you to produce some really big swings! Genis Wotchuneed is our final new Young Hero, this time another Merchant. His ability gives you draw power, and also potentially a Silver token, which is pretty neat!

Our sole Adult hero in Everfest is a new version of a classic hero, Bravo, Star of the Show! Not wanting to miss out of the Elemental heroes we've seen in this set and Tales of Aria, Bravo is now an Elemental Guardian with Essence of Earth, Ice and Lightning - allowing you to play all of the elemental cards we've seen so far (that aren't hero specific)! His ability is a bit more tricky to pull off. You can reveal an Earth, an Ice, and a Lightning card from your hand to give your next attack action, with cost 3 or greater, plus 2, Dominate, and Go Again - it's pretty powerful, but looks difficult to achieve! Either way, Bravo's art is glorious! We also have a Fabled rare for this set in Grandeu of Valahai, a blue stripe resource that, when you pitch it, creates a Seismic Surge token.

We've got three Legendaries in this set, including a reprint of Arcanite Skullcap - the generic Legendary Head equipment from Arcane Rising. Arcanite gives you both Arcane and traditional defence should you have less life that your opponent, making it a very versatile card to have! Another Legendary is Stalagmite, Bastion of Isenloft - an Ice Guardian equipment for the Off-Hand that acts as a shield. It gives you 2 defence and creates a Frostbite token under your opponent's control when you defend with it! It's a very nice card that seemingly works well with Winter's Wail from Tales.

Speaking of equipment, we have a new Wizard Staff in Kraken's Aethervein. This card simply lets you deal 1 arcane damage to a hero. However, you get to draw cards equal to the amount of damage dealt, giving your the incentive to play more arcane damage boosting cards in your Wizard deck! An equipment I'm incredibly excited about is the new Ranger Bow, Dreadbore. As all other bows allow you to do, for 1 resource you can put an arrow from your hand face up into your arsenal, but this one gives you a plus 1 attack, which is nice. But, the big thing is that arrows you control can't have defence reactions played into it's chain link, which is a massive deal! This, along with some other great support in Everfest, will (hopefully) help Ranger climb up the ranks of Flesh & Blood!

There are a lot of other great cards in this set from things like Shatter to the stunning Tri-Shot. With 45 Majestic rares, there is a lot to get excited about (on top of the recylable packaging!). So, if you're looking to supplement your Flesh & Blood decks, there's no better place to go than the Everfest carnival!
