The Frozen Chill of Winterspell in Lorcana

2025 is barely over, and we are already hearing whispers about the next Lorcana set for 2026. Their eagerly awaited eleventh set is due to be released early on in 2026 and will feature ‘Flurries of Fun,’ as well as more fun Lilo and Stitch related antics. The Chaos Cards team are rather excited to see that Stitches pal Angel will be making her way into the realms of Lorcana in this set! So, get ready to discover new cards, refine your game strategies, trade with friends, and experience the cold blast of Winterspell.

The stories we tell each other hold a certain amount of power, and Lorcana really helps to bring the beautiful Disney stories to life. The story behind the Winterspell set is rather dramatic: A giant vine, powered by dangerous flood ink, has begun growing rapidly from the ink pools below the Great Illuminary. Its growth is threatening to take over the entire structure. An Illumineer, desperate to stop it, uses an Elsa Glimmer in order to freeze the vine. Unfortunately, Elsas powers are so strong that the resulting wave of wintery magic freezes not just the vine, but the whole realm of Lorcana.

It looks like Illumineers and Glimmers alike will revel in this unexpected winter and share in some fun and snowy shenanigans. So get ready to chill out for the coolest adventure yet as we weather the storms in Lorcana.

One of the things we get most excited about with Lorcana releases is finding out which characters we will get to see. Winterspell looks to have some great treats in store. Given Elsa’s role in the story, it comes as no surprise to see the characters from Frozen being involved. There is one character in particular we are excited to see join Lorcana, and that is Darkwing Duck (Disney is thoroughly spoiling us with Gargoyles in the last set, Darkwing Duck in this set and there's rumours that beloved Pixar characters will make an appearance at some point in 2026!)

We can expect to see the Ethereal Glimmers and the Epic and Iconic card rarities from Whispers of the Well make an appearance in Winterspell. These new mechanics help to add more depth and strategy to the popular Trading Card Game.
