New Lorcana: Where Infinity Meets the Wild Unknown

We have barely experienced the unexpected chill that comes with Winterspell, and yet the realms of Lorcana are venturing into the great unknown. To coin a phrase from a trusty Space Ranger; we are heading to infinity and beyond with their next release. Just when we thought we knew all about the Illuminary as well.

Whilst many of the details regarding Lorcanas future release: Wilds Unknown, remain… unknown, there is one reveal which has caused much excitement across Disney and Lorcana fans: Pixar is due to make its Lorcana debut and we cannot wait. We are barely over the excitement of the Scrooge McDuck Gift set, Ravensburger and Disney just keep spoiling us! Read on to find out more about the next exciting instalment of Lorcana.

In this upcoming set, brave Glimmers of all shapes and plastics, must navigate treacherous terrains together in order to find their way home. The theme for this release looks to be clearly focused on both adventure and survival, and we cannot wait to discover more!

The initial teaser imagery features the iconic duo Buzz Lightyear and Woody swinging through a dense, mountainous, tree-filled landscape. It’s quite literally a "wild" departure from the more whimsical settings of previous sets, and we can’t wait to see which other characters will be joining this wild expedition.

The biggest attraction for Wilds Unknown is, undoubtedly, the introduction of Pixar characters into the realms of Lorcana. While we've seen a few references here and there before, this set marks their proper arrival, and what an introduction!

The timing couldn't be better. With the next Toy Story instalment said to be hitting cinemas this summer, the chance to put Woody and Buzz into our decks feels like the perfect celebration. We are crossing our fingers for more Pixar favourites to be revealed soon, it would be great to see characters from Up, Brave, or even The Incredibles joining the Illumineers!

Perhaps the most exciting news for competitive players is that Wilds Unknown looks to be the first time Lorcana will be officially releasing Pre-Release sets. These "Build & Battle" style kits are a game-changer for Organised Play instore at Chaos Cards.
