Have you ever wondered what we get up to behind the scenes at Chaos Cards HQ? Beyond the obvious love for talking about and playing games, there's a lot that keeps us busy behind the scenes! Recently, we had a work experience student join us, so we gave them a glimpse of what goes on in our busy office. There was some experience in marketing, social media, and content writing, as well as things like single card sorting. A nice little overview of all the things the Chaos Cards team get up to on an average day!

We decided there was no better way to kick off their week of work experience than by enlisting their help to review a fun-filled party game. ‘Oh My Pigeons!’ is a competitive game that appeals to all ages; from kids through to adults. Instant Fun for Everyone (Ages 8+!)

Released last summer, ‘Oh My Pigeons!’ quickly became a hit thanks to its incredibly simple rules and speedy 15-minute playtime. This makes it an ideal choice for busy households or even games night. ‘Oh My Pigeons!’ can be played with up to 5 players and has some stunningly silly illustrations by Alena Istif. It really is a game designed for absolute fun, I would recommend for ages 8 and up.

Gather Your Flock in this Avian Adventure!

At its heart, Oh My Pigeons! is a game of clever card play with a touch of dexterity. There’s a 50-card deck and some very charming miniature pigeons to engage in some rather hilarious avian conflicts. The goal? To lure more pigeons to your flock than any other players. It is quite a physical game as you'll be playing cards, moving birds, and even flicking dice at tiny plastic pigeons on benches. All of this in an attempt to win the game. But be warned: the deck also contains pigeon-themed eldritch horrors that can turn the tide of the game in unexpected ways!

A Familiar Twist for Party Game Veterans

Oh My Pigeons! is a perfect game for fans of ‘Exploding Kittens’ and their infamous "nope" cards. (Check out our post on Zombie Kittens – an expansion for Exploding Kittens here!) I think you'll feel right at home with Oh My Pigeons!'s unique "non" mechanic which is very similar. This annoying or hilarious card allows you to cancel an opponent's action, leading to incredibly dynamic and often chaotic gameplay. It's guaranteed to generate plenty of "OMG!" moments and friendly rivalry!

‘Oh My Pigeons!’ excels as a light, engaging party game. The artwork on the cards adds to the ridiculous atmosphere players experience whilst playing the game. Its strategic depth is just enough to keep things interesting without ever feeling overwhelming, making it accessible to a wide range of players. This game focuses on delivering a quick, memorable, and ridiculously fun experience. I would say that ‘Oh My Pigeons!’ meets all the factors that I would expect from a decent party game.
