Come On Board with All New One Piece Lego

Come On Board with All New One Piece Lego

Get ready to set sail with the Straw Hat Pirates! Lego has brought the world of the live-action Netflix series One Piece to life with two impressive new sets that are sure to excite fans of the show and the manga. With an incredible eye for detail, these new build-and-display models—the Baratie Floating Restaurant and the Going Merry Pirate Ship—are a testament to the series' iconic characters and vehicles.

Did you know that to perfectly recreate Monkey D. Luffy, Lego even designed two new moulds just for his signature hair and hat? This attention to detail continues throughout both sets, which are designed to appeal to both adult collectors and younger fans. The Baratie, in particular, is an intricate masterpiece aimed at older fans, while the Going Merry offers an exciting build for adventurers of all ages.

Lego One Piece: The Baratie Floating Restaurant (75640)

One Piece baratie lego[1]

The iconic One Piece restaurant is an interesting combination of a building and a ship, and run by the formidable Zeff. The Lego Baratie Floating Restaurant set is more than just a ship though- it's a monumental build with a colossal 3,402 pieces, standing over 14 inches (35 cm) high and taking roughly 6 hours to build. This set is a true marvel of engineering and design, combining the unique architecture of the iconic Anime restaurant with a stunning level of detail.

The inside is just as impressive, with highly detailed and accessible rooms. You can explore the bustling kitchen, the elegant dining areas, Zeff’s quarters, and even the treasure room. Every space is carefully crafted to be in perfect scale with the included minifigures, ensuring a cohesive and immersive experience. And of course, the massive fish head bar on the front is recreated flawlessly.

With ten different minifigures included, five of which are exclusive to this set, you can bring the restaurant to life in your own home. We especially love the fun touch of the wanted posters, each featuring the likeness of a character from the set. This is a must-have display piece for any serious One Piece fan, offering hours of rewarding building. One Piece fans in the Chaos Cards team think this Lego set may be THE ultimate set for fans of the series.

Lego One Piece: The Going Merry Pirate Ship

One piece going merry[1]

Get ready to set sail on the Straw Hat Pirates' iconic ship, The Going Merry Pirate Ship. With 1,376 pieces, this set offers a rewarding build that's perfect for younger fans of One Piece (we recommend it for ages 10 and up). While not as extensive as the Baratie, it's still a sizable build that captures the spirit of adventure.

The ship itself is entirely brick-built, a detail that we love, as it allows for an authentic and cohesive design. From the beautifully recreated sheep figurehead to the sails, no detail has been overlooked. This is a must-have set that brings the heart of the Straw Hat crew's journey to life. We love that the ship is entirely brick built and doesn’t compromise on pieces. The set's interior is fully accessible for play and display, allowing you to explore the crew's cabin, kitchen, and workshop.

Much like previous Lego releases such as Lego Wicked and Lego Wednesday you can use the handy LEGO Builder App to zoom, rotate in 3D, and track your progress whilst building The Going Merry Pirate Ship. This helps to make the experience even more engaging and you can track your builds which is quite fun if you are an avid Lego collector!

The Time Known as the Great Pirate Era

While many may know LEGO for their play-focused sets, the intricate detail and design of the Baratie and Going Merry show a commitment to creating high-quality display models that appeal to both collectors and adult fans alike. These sets bridge the gap between building toys and collectible art, making them a fantastic addition to any fans collection. We were particularly impressed with the mini figures included in each set; their impeccable detail makes them instantly recognizable and stand out from the crowd.

The Baratie and The Going Merry Pirate Ship are not the only One Piece Lego sets due to be released. There is sure to be a set for everyone; from the Windmill Village Hut, to Battle at Arlong Park or Buggy the Clowns Circus Tent. (You can read more about these pieces in this post over here.) Every single set included within this expansive release has meticulous attention to detail and acts like a physical love letter to the Netflix adaption and the original Manga. To be honest, we don’t think you could ask for more from a Lego set!
