Strike while the iron is hot in Pokemon Fusion Strike!

It’s that time again, a new expansion for the Pokemon TCG is here and it’s the biggest set yet.  A whopping 284 cards and a new battle style (Fusion Strike) make this expansion a must have for collectors and TCG players alike. Released on the 12th of November this set will be the last expansion of 2021, so let’s take a closer look at what really makes Pokemon Fusion Strike stand out.

Let’s start off with those highly coveted Ultra Rare Alternate Arts and boy does this set have a few. You thought you were spoiled with Evolving Skies, well Fusion Strike has definitely come to join the party. With several stunning alternate art cards to choose from, there’s certainly something for everyone. We’ll cover a few here and leave the rest for you to discover.

First off we have Espeon VMAX, some collectors and players were worried this card might never make it out of Japan but they’ve slid it into Fusion Strike so you can add
it to your collection. Not only is the art on this card something to admire, it can also work as a great addition to a Psychic deck. With a solid ability and wicked attack this
card shouldn’t be underestimated.

This card will likely be one of the most highly sought after in the set, given its use in the TCG and those who are looking to complete their Eeveelution alternate art
collections.

Next up we have fan favourite Gengar in this spine tingling alternate art VMAX. Originally obtainable from Japan’s High Class Gengar VMAX deck, this
card has finally made its way into English and is a great addition to the Fusion Strike set. We can imagine there will be a lot of people looking to add this card to their collection due to the incredible artwork of Sowsow.

The last alternate arts we will take a look at are the V and VMAX cards of Mew. Mew is an icon of the Pokemon Franchise and these cards certainly do justice to him. Firstly the Mew V alternate art that sees a happy Mew bopping alongside other Pokemon such as Toxel and Smeargle and boasting the new Fusion Strike battle
style logo.

Next we have Mew VMAX, a stunning card that really captures the playfulness and
mythical elements of Mew. A lot of fans have speculated that the artwork surrounding Mew is reminiscent of London, with red phone boxes and the hint of a large ferris wheel type structure in the background. We will let you be the judge, however there is no disputing that this is an eye catching card that any collector would love to get their hands on.

This set isn’t just about alternate arts because you also have a whole new play style to
discover - Fusion Strike. Introduced to go along with both the Rapid and Single Strike styles, Fusion Strike can add a new element to your TCG battles. Pokemon with the Fusion strike style tend to benefit when other Pokemon with this Battle Style are in play, focusing on teamwork and strength in numbers these cards can definitely pose a strong challenge to your opponents. Here are a couple of the fusion strike cards to look out for from the set, why not give them a try? Fusion Strike is available to buy now online and in store so keep an eye out and happy hunting.
