Welcome to the New Spider-Man MTG Crossover!

For decades, Magic: The Gathering has been the pinnacle of epic fantasy, with its deep lore and strategic gameplay. But lately, the game has been expanding its borders with the Universes Beyond series and we couldn’t be more excited! Recently players have been able to travel from the high fantasy of Middle-earth to the dark sci-fi of Warhammer 40,000, and some other realms in between. Now, the latest crossover is bringing us to a new, thrilling world: the bustling streets of New York City in Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man.

This release is a major milestone for Universes Beyond. Unlike previous crossovers, this is the first full set to be Standard legal right from the start. We think these cards will shake up the competitive scene and give players an exciting new way to build their favourite decks.

Sling Cards from across the Marvel Universe

The set is a love letter to our favourite web-slinger, and features the iconic heroes and villains from over 60 years of Spider-Man comics. In Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man, you can expect to see designs that pop right out of the page, with card art featuring borderless comic book covers and comic book panel treatments. It’s a nice touch that the artwork is literally bursting out of the frame! You can look forward to the standard Booster packs, the Collectors Booster as well the spectacular looking Spidey's Showdown Scene Box and the Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man Bundle. We are really being spoilt with this release!

We're particularly excited about some of the confirmed cards and their unique designs:

• The Soul Stone: This is Magic's first-ever Infinity Stone, and it will be available as a stunning cosmic foil card in Collector Boosters.
• Sensational Spider-Man: stun opponents and get rewarded with card draws,
• Doc Ock, Evil Inventor: turn non-creature artifacts into powerful 8/8 creatures,
• Green Goblin, Nemesis: build up a goblin army by discarding cards,
• Venom, Deadly Devourer: enables players to put a +1/-1 counter on your symbiote creatures,
• Grasping Tentacles: a sorcery card where you can mill and steal,
• Pumpkin Bombs: an artifact card belonging to the Green Goblin.

The Spider-Man set also introduces a new way to play: the Pick-Two Draft format. This innovative format is perfect for smaller groups of four players, allowing each person to pick two cards at a time from each booster pack. This helps to speed up the drafting process and makes it easier for smaller friend groups to get a game in.

Friendly, Amazing, Spectacular

Looking ahead, we're also eagerly awaiting more news about the Avatar: The Last Airbender Universes Beyond release later on in November. This will also be a Standard-legal set which is exciting news. We are VERY excited to see what the artwork is like for this set!
