Celebrate May the Fourth with Chaos Cards

From Chaos Cards to a Galaxy far, far away, the Force this year is stronger than ever. As we prepare for Mando and Grogu’s big-screen debut alongside Star Wars day (May the Fourth,)the Chaos Cards team have selected some of our favourite products and games from the beloved franchise and we just about managed to narrow it down into a blog post, just for you!

Read on to discover our top picks for the ultimate Star Wars Day celebration this year!

Explore the Possibilities of Star Wars Unlimited

If it’s a Trading Card Game you’re after, then look no further than Star Wars Unlimited, the game that lets you enter a whole galaxy of possibilities. The fast-paced, but easy-to-learn trading card game is ideal for Star Wars fans who want to battle good versus evil, just like in the saga.

A Lawless Time may have only just been released, but the Chaos Cards team are pretty hyped to hear about the upcoming set: Ashes of the Empire. This set is perfect for players who are fans of the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire. Ashes of the Empire will bring 260 new cards to the set as well as new strategic elements to the table when it is released this July!

New release, Twin Suns looks to be a great addition to the Star Wars Unlimited line up. Traditionally, Star Wars Unlimited is a head to head game between two players, but Twin Suns allows players to compete in a larger group, and we are excited to see that it is set within the Clone Wars era. Twin Suns is a great new way to play this version of the game, and we cannot wait to try this 'free for all' battle set in the Star Wars Universe!

A Galaxy of Unlimited Accessories

There happens to be plenty of accessories to go alongside Star Wars Unlimited as well. Gamegenic have made some great looking premium Deck pods. These deck boxes have some rather unique features to keep your Star Wars Unlimited cards safe, including strong magnets for precise and secure closure and UV protection to keep your display card safe. Each box can hold up to 60 double-sleeved cards. Talking of sleeves, the Star Wars Unlimited Master Art Sleeves are a must-have for any diehard fan. The sleeves feature an array of all-time favourite characters, including Ahsoka (who is obviously the best character in the whole series,) Darth Maul, Rey, General Grievous and Luke Skywalker. It is safe to say that, Star Wars Unlimited fans are spoilt for choice when it comes to deck accessories!

Unite to Save the Republic, Pandemic style!

Fans of Pandemic and the Clone Wars will LOVE Pandemic: Star Wars – The Clone Wars; the excellent co-operative game from Z Man Games. Navigate the galaxy with the Jedi as players team up and fend off the Separatist threat. Players must complete missions in between battling, in order to turn the tide of the war and defeat the Separatists. Much like the roles in the original game, each player in Pandemic: Star Wars – The Clone Wars, has powers that unique to their character and help to drive the game. (Although instead of keeping a contagious virus at bay, you are defending each planet from droids from blockading the planets.) We love the fact that this game focuses on The Clone Wars, there’s a lot of things out there based around the Skywalker Saga, but it’s always a delight when something is released involving our favourite 501st Legion.

Battle with your own Star Wars Legion

The miniatures game Star Wars Legion encourages you to take your love of the franchise from the television to the battlefield as you become a commander and lead unique armies filled with your the dark or the light side, as well as instantly recognisable vehicles. Of course it is important to add the ever iconic characters such as Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader into your game as well, that’s where the fun begins!

Did you know that Star Wars: Legion is considered by many to be one of the best wargames out there, as it balances both theme and tactics. The miniatures game manages to be fast-paced and easy to engage with, whikst using innovative mechanics to simulate the chaotic nature of battle. If you’ve played games like Warhammer 40,000, the movement and combat will feel familiar, but with a distinct Star Wars twist that will make each round feel like a scene from the movies. Sounds pretty great right? Check out our post here for a more in depth look at Star Wars Legion and what Starter Set might be good for you!

May the Fourth be with you!

How will you be celebrating May the Fourth this year? Will you be adding anything from above to your Star Wars collections? Or maybe something from our other Star Wars post in mind? Let us know over on our socials. We love hearing from you.

And remember, May the Force be with you, always!
