In The Quacks of Quedlinburg, each of the player charlatans ("Quacksalber" in German) makes their own secret brew, drawing ingredients from the shared supply bag to do this. Take care with what you draw, though, for a pinch too many peas will spoil the whole mixture. If you stop in time to cook only the small portion you have, maybe you can then use the income you earn from selling this creation to buy more valuable ingredients in the future, making your next potion even better to bring in many points.

This is one of my all time favourite games, easy to learn to play, great fun on each turn and you are always doing something, even if your potion blows up in your face. Nice decisions to make with a friendly push your luck vibe, catch up mechanism (ewww, rat tails!) and decisions about what to buy for your ingredients bag. This is a family favourite that we encourage everyone to have look at as it works so well and is nicely balanced so that the better player should win but enough randomness to give everyone a chance.
