As a general rule, buy singles, not packs. I buy packs because I like to open packs and usually between prerelease and buying a box of boosters I've got enough packs that when I open them all I have all of the commons and most of the uncommons from the new set. I also buy packs to crack them open with friends and draft decks from the packs, so that I can assert dominance and show everybody present that I am the superior deckbuilder. Then take home all the rares and give them the ones I don't need. I do all of this because I'm not short of money. I have a job, a house and no girlfriend so I've got a lot of disposable income. Don't buy packs or boxes. If you don't get any exciting pulls you're just kind of sat there feeling empty inside, like finding out the girl you like has a boyfriend. As for the set itself, wizards keeps printing faded cards. Nothing else quality-wise for this set. It's a fun set, if a bit underpowered.
