Mindbug is a card game that feels utterly different from all the card games you have experienced before! Although it is easy to learn, it is a game that will surprise you every time you play, with new and exciting challenges and combos.

The game is very easy to learn, and can be explained in 5 minutes. Great for when you need to game but might be low on time. It’s really portable, meaning it is perfect to take on journeys or holiday. A big draw with Mindbug is that you can just shuffle the cards and then begin play – you don’t have to construct a deck and there’s no need to prepare for each game. You can just shuffle and go. Just be sure to play the right card at the right time!

The artwork is amazing and is sure to be as interesting to some players as much as the game is! The longer you look at each creature, the more you uncover. (And, did you know that one of the games designers is non other then Richard Garfield? One of the minds behind Magic the Gathering???)

What Exactly is Mindbug?

The aim of Mindbug: First Contact is to outwit your opponent by summoning hybrid creatures and battling them against your opponent. Mindbug combines the accessibility and fairness of a simple card game with the depth you would expect from a complex strategy card game. It is a game of tactics. You win the game when your opponent loses their last life point.

Beware the Mindbug! Once your opponent has that, its time to get thinking about your next steps, and quick! The Mindbug allows you to mind control your opponents creature, making you re-evaluate your next moves. What makes Mindbug even better is its replayability. You can play it time and time again with different outcomes each session! We love a game like that.

The cards included in Mindbug represent all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures. All with their own unique and powerful abilities. There is a Compost Dragon, a snail Hydra and even a Kangasaurus Rex. Did you know that there are no weak cards in Mindbug? All of the hybrid - creatures are as powerful as each other. How awesome is that!

Mindbug: Beyond Eternity

Mindbug: Beyond Eternity introduces a ‘boost’ ability, where cards in your graveyard can boost your creatures power by +1. The theme of Beyond Eternity is Time, and it is a great addition to the Mindbug family. Mindbug: Beyond Eternity can be played as a standalone or as an expansion to Mindbug: First Contact or Mindbug: Beyond Evolution.

Mindbug: Beyond Evolutions

Mindbug: Beyond Evolutions introduces the ‘evolve’ effect, which allows players to play through a 3 stage evolution line with changing creature abilities. Much like Mindbug: Beyond Eternity, you can play this expansion either on it’s own or with the other Mindbug releases.

Mindbug: The Perfect Game for Gamers

One thing the team really love is that when playing Mindbug, everyone begins from the same place, there is no unfair advantage.
